Well, that journey certainly cleared my fear of flying! Views outside the plane windows were amazing and so pretty. The airhostesses on the Malaysian planes were so beautiful and friendly. Had my photo taken with the captain on the first flight. He was very funny. The international airports are certainly amazing and huge. Everyone is so friendly from the captains of the planes, the airhostesses, the people in the airports and also the taxi drivers. We are now in Amsterdam and looking forward to our first day of our holiday. Need to look out for bikes and traffic on the wrong side of the road. Have been in Amsterdam for around two hours, just time to get from the airport to the beautiful hotel, have a shower and now we are off to the Casino for a cheap breakfast and look around. Decided to go on a canal boat ride and were amazed at the funny, quaint, beautiful and weird houseboats along the canals. Beautiful buildings and so many bridges. Went for a walk around our little square just across the road and listened to a group of elderly singers called 'Lust of Life', and sang along with them. Back to the hotel for a rest, then finally to the Casino to win some money - which we did - then lost it again. Went to the Steak House for tea, then back finally back to the hotel room to play cards.
