SOMEWHERE BETWEEN BANGKOK AND UBON, THAILAND. TUESDAY APRIL 20, 2010, 2130 HRS.
"Free your mind and your ass will follow!"

I'm writing from my bed in a night train towards Ubon, from Bangkok. The trainride is going to take approximately ten hours. Right now, at this very moment, I think I'm getting a deeper understanding of traveling and its potential to free a person from inner shackles… The atmosphere is surreal: one moment you're sitting on the street, hanging out with Buddhist monks, the next moment you're on an airplane, and then you find yourself showing photos from your laptop through the window to some kids staring at you from another train next to yours, on a station stop… this constant change of scenery IS the very core of traveling itself.

I quote a TV show called 'Madventures', which has kinda become my fellow traveller in the last weeks: "FREE YOUR MIND AND YOUR ASS WILL FOLLOW."
