We are now leaving koh Tao and are on our way to samui to catch a flight to kuala lumpa.
After staying in koh samui we took a ferry to koh tao. The beeches are lovely and it's a lot more laid back and chilled than main Thailand. John and I really enjoyed either sitting by the sea or the pool.
I have managed to squeeze in 3 runs while on koh Tao. However, running on a beech is an utter killer on the calf muscles, not to mention the amazingly high temperature. But I enjoyed every step, even on target for a PB.
On our last night we discovered a lovely little BBQ on the beech with a cute little bar. Meat on a stick is my new favourite dish.
The lightening in Thailand has been awesome. Every night you can see lightening somewhere in the sky. It brightens up the whole place and looks amazing at the same time a little unnerving.
While in Thailand I have been chief bridesmaid for my mate Jemma. A wedding on the beech on koh samui in 45 degree heat! HOT!! But It was luvly.
Jemma looked gorgeous and we have discovered her now husband is a secret little groover. The wedding was held at faraway villa and they did a brilliant job.
The flowers where absolutely stunning, mixing purple, light pink and off white beautifully.
Jemma's dad nearly brought all the bridesmaid close to tears as he cried just before we all started walking down the aisle. Then when the song halo came on, OMG, proper frog in the throat moment.
The food was a master chief winner, only wish I had my trakkies on to expand with my food baby.
We let Chinese lanterns off over the sea and watched them float away, perfect.
While on koh samui John and I hired a jeep and drove around the island.
First stop was a snake farm with a show at 11am. After an 8yr old had shown us around (most disturbing was the remains of a decomposing python that had died while eating a chicken!!) Bleugh, the show started.
First, the guy put a live scorpion in his mouth while placing bout 10 more on his face!!! Eck!!!
After this he played and teased 3 very large cobras. One which was trying its best to escape.
Next, he bought out the most angry python which was doing its best to have a gud bite on the guy!
Then it was my turn! Seeing as there was only John and I to witness the 11am show, it was up to me to have the large python draped around my shoulders...hmmmm, while John though it was funny to shout at me "Claire, it's heads coming at ya". The photo of this moment speaks for itself.
Next we visited a monk that is decomposing really slowly. I would never have paid to see this, but there is a monk, in a glass box, sat crossed legged, still with whisps of hair on his head, people praying around him, candles burning...then if you look closer, he had fake ray bans on! LMAO!
In kuala lumpa we are staying in the most pimped up hostel ever, the reggae reggae mansion. Our first over 90% rating hostel. Apparently it has a cinema! Will update you on this shortly.
That's all for now folks...taaaaladandandan...dadaddddddadada...dadadadadafadaaaaa!
