Wow, can't believe we are already leaving china and heading on an overnight train to vietnaaaaammmmm baby!!!! ( by the way, if you are travelling to Hanoi from china, yes there is a train but you have to book at nanning station. All hostels across china will tell you it is not available, they lie!!! Queue at gate 16 and book for the next day).

China has definitely been a love hate relationship. Actually, hate is a strong word, more that I found some things unbelievable. Coming from a country where if there's a blame there's a claim, coming to china this rule certainly hasn't arrived. Some days I liked that, I liked how kind of backwards I found things. However, if Id got out of the wrong side of the bed, I found it unbelievable, inconceivable and to say this is one of the worlds biggest super powers, where were the basics?!?

However, if you want to find out for yourself what it is like to be a celeb, get yourself to china. At one point, I found myself almost doing the royal wave. I often wondered what where people thinking when they stared at John and I?!? Maybe, we are better off not knowing ;)

We spent our last night in china dining on street food. For around £1 each we feasted on the yummiest dumplings, a pancake filled with sweet corn and something else ( I find it best not to question the ingredients!) , meat on a stick, a mcmuffin thing finishing with tomatoes, kiwi and apple on a stick coated in a toffee apple style sugary mixture....luvly!

The hostel we stayed at in nanning was perfect. The lotus land had everything we needed, good wifi, cheap beers, washer and separate dryer, hot water for brews and english films on the tele!

Now at nanning station watching the rabble race to get their seats on the train which they have all reserved seats on :/ I'm thinking I would like to come back to china say in 10years. The industry and economy is growing so quick, I wondered if the chinese people will adapt and change with their surroundings.
