Well hello hello, and how the devil are you all? As always apologies for the length of time it has taken me to get this blog up here but for one reason or another I have not found time to do it.
So since I last left I was awaiting the arrival of my other half, (some say better half but the jurys still out!). Me and Ange had a fantastic two weeks in Brisbane. We had nights full of laughter, days full of sun, and bellys full of beer! We did manage to get some sightseeing in though but Brisbane isn't the biggest place so after 2 weeks we had managed to see preety much all of it. We had some greatnights out though taking in some great comedy and lovely meals! We also managed to venture further afield and this is where we had our best days.
The main trips we did were to a place called Morton Island which is a slightly smaller version of Fraiser Island but some parts are more beautiful. The first trip we did was via boat which took us around the crystal clear waters of the Island and showed us some of the sea life. We also took part in an activity called Boom Netting which is where they tie a net to the back of the boat and drag you along in the wake. This was great fun although we did manage to swallow half the bloody ocean! We also managed to snorkle around the reefs they had sunk off the Island. Unfortunatly the visability wasn't the best and it was a large group but apart from that it was good.
The second trip was by 4x4 and took us around the Island. Here we did some sand boarding, body boarding and saw some fantastic lakes and views from the Lighthouse. All in All Morton Island was a good few days.
Along with Morton Island we managed to take in Mooloolaba Beach, Wet and Wild Water Park and Byron bay. Byron was a good night out and we saw some great performing Dolphins off the Lighthouse look out. It was a fantastic sight for the both of us. After all the adventures were over we headed back to Brisbane for a few days before Ange was due to fly home. Unfortnatly our few days were cut short as a phone call from the reception of our hotel told us we shoud be checking out about now! After checking out all the details of Ange's holiday we, sorry I realised Ange was actually due to fly out that night!!! As you can imagine panick set in for Ange as she wasn't sure she'd have time to pack? The adventure wasn't over there though. After seeing the great sites of Mt Coo-tha we relaxed in the afternoon ready to head to Airport for Anges checkin. On arrival at the airport and seeing that there was still 90 mins before check in we, sorry I, then realised Ange had got her flight times wrong so we had 90 mins to sit around and wait. How she ever made it out I will never know, but I am greatful she did and we had a wonderful time.
Since Ange has left things have quietened down a little. We have moved onto Sydney where we have found a self contained apartmant for Me, Brainer, Warren and Wayne and we have had a bit of a look around Sydney. So far we have seen the Opera House, Bondi and a few of the bars. We are planning on taking in the rest of the sites over the coming weeks though and I am looking forward to climbing the Harbour Bridge and seeing Manly beach. We are also going to try and get ourselves into Home and Away as well as take in a Neighbours night in Sydney. Bring on the happy times.
Hope you are all well and enjoying the weather at home? I will not wait so long for the next blog and I will make it a little longer.
Take Care,
Ash and Brainer x
