The drive through Colorado is awesome on the way to visit Greg and Kate. This is what I picture the west to look like. Dramatic vistas with steep mountain sides and jagged rocks sticking out of towering pines. Awesome. I guess its true what they say first impressions last a life time.

On our drive we went right through the fire fighting efforts as helecopters filled with water are making rounds to help contain the raging fire. People are pulling over and taking picures, driving slowly that is until Jason lays on the horn to move along the gawkers.. These pictures were taken out of the car window.

We stopped at wolf Creek ski area to take a picture of the sign. This place will always be our favorite considering this is where Jason proposed to me. We continued our drive into Salida which is starting to become more and more familiar considering we have now been here at least 7 times.
