I've just spent 1/2 hour writing my blog to you - hit a button which I shouldn't have and its disappeared. However to now cut it short, you've had some superb experiences over these past 5 months. It was great to have you spend the last 4 days of your amazing journey with us at Sheoak Flat. To have Lachie run into the shack on your arrival started the tears flowing. My concerns about Lyla not knowing us were unfounded - 10 minutes and she'd warmed to us. Now its back to the real world with memories of 5 months of this wonderful country OZ providing a great talking point for a very long time. Love Jan and Pete xxx xxx

Hi Nic and Trent. Have just checked out your latest blog and your photos. We are at the shack and heading home this afternoon. Camie stayed on with us. We'll return Friday to meet up with you here at Sheoak Flat. Lyla looks to have changed a lot - her hair is a lot fairer too. The Arnouls are coming over this coming Friday and we're having a barbie with them on Saturday night. I've got some of those tasty marinated chicken steaks from the local Pt. Vincent butcher for the barbie. I'll also do a large potato bake. I've also got the Pork that Lachie ordered - perhaps we can have that Monday night for an early birthday tea for him. Streaky Bay C.Pk is in an idyllic spot. There are some beaut places to visit nearby - Baird Bay, where you can swim with the seals and go dolphin spotting. Till Friday -------- catch you! Hi Nic, Trent, Lachie and Lyla. I have been thoroughly enjoying your blogs, you all look so relaxed, happy and freeeeee. I look forward to seeing you in the flesh and catching up on the memorable details of your trip. It has flown by, I can't honestly believe its nearly time for you to be home. Hopefully spring can start to 'spring' before you get here although I won't hold my breath. No holiday will ever be long enough for you guys I don't think. Take care with your last leg. Robyn xxx

Hi Trent and Nic. It's almost a month since I posted a message here. I've now got the village newsletter out, so have a bit more time on my hands - not much, as now I'm taking a cookery class for men who can't cook. 8 guys, from 4 - 6pm for 6 weeks on a Wednesday. Fortunately 2 other ladies are assisting. It was great last weekend at the bush block - quite green, wattle every where, rain gauge overflowing, tank full and new kitchen superb. Went wombat spotting one night - saw one. I expect by now you are in the Margaret River area enjoying some of their lovely wines and rustic venues. Went to the Redlegs v. Centrals match yesterday. Unfortunately the 'Legs went down by 3 goals, so now have to play against Eagles next week for a place in the SANFL Grand Final the following week. Will you still be at the shack on Sunday October 10th?

Hi Guys
Great to hear that you have made it to Perth and experienced some retail therapy & hair cuts. Can't wonder around the big smoke looking like you have stepped out from the outback. Sorry to hear that you are back to nearly SA weather !! Lovely constant 15 & rain. By the way I hope you charged an entry fee for the caravan inspections....Nic could have then done some more shopping in Perth. You are not missing a thing over here in SA - Just found out that Oprah is giving away trips to Australia & yes they are not stopping in Adelaide...hahaha. Well keep travelling and enjoying the freedom. Look forward to the next blog. Cheers Michelle

Hi there. Great to read more of your adventures and green with envy as its very very cold and wet again this week here in SA. You'll enjoy Coral Bay. That's where Pete did his fishing charter with Simon and we had to turn our Waeco into a freezer for his catch. Pete still has a smile on his face. See in Ali's message that the Priders have gone away again - where to this time? Great to see your photos - Lachie looks to have grown and Lyla certainly has. Just love her smile. We are missing you all and look forward to reading the next stage of your adventure. Love Mum, Dad and Shadow. xxxx

Hi Guys
Great update and love the pictures. It is bloody cold in Adelaide and if you could send some warmth this way, we would be greatful. I have a picture of the stairway to the moon in my lounge, so you are really lucky to have actually seen it. As for the flat tyre....Trent I needed you a few months ago when I got one at 8am in the morning at Whitmore Square !! But mine didn't cost over $400 to replace...ouch! You all look so relaxed in the pictures and glad you are seeing heaps and having funny. Take care and look forward to the next update ! Enjoy the good life. Cheers Michelle

Hi from cold and damp SA. We are very envious of you in your shorts etc. sporting suntans and enjoying the lifestyle of the west. Pleased you got to Windjana G and Tunnel Ck. I bet you're shocked to learn that J actually clambered over all those rocks to get into Tunnel Ck. and then walked the length and returned to the opening. I thought I was very brave!!!! My how Lyla has grown and I think her hair has lightened quite a bit. The shells at 80 Mile Beach are quite superb - where will I hang the wind chime Nic? Peter has always made me remove those that I've had in the past. I'll send a separate email about the wildflowers. We're off to the shack later this afternoon. The forecast is for rain, rain and more rain, so I'll be by the potbelly working on Lyla's Christmas stocking. Keep well and see lots. Love from us at 60, The Elms.
