Today we said farewell to New York, thanks for the memories, cheese pizza, yellow cabs and the sweet sounds of the busiest city in the world. (I may have made that last bit up, but surely it's in the top 5!)
Anyways that beside the point, just like that annoying blond kid from the car ad keeps singing, we are "On the road again" cruising across the top end of the states. A surprisingly beautiful city called Boston was our first point of call and it was like a smaller, cleaner and mote accessible version of New York, green trees throughout downtown area, beautiful old buildings, tradition bars scattered amongst cobblestone streets, markets and live music. Was buzzing for a Sunday, they love summer over here! Was tempting to stay there tonight but accommodation was either booked out or overpriced so back into the Moose and over to Albany. Much more scenic drive than the south, rolling hills and it's still very green over here, which doesn't resemble our landscape during summer. Also it's very noticeable how the temp has varied from NYC - Boston- Albany, apparently the "Heat Dome" that the newsreaders were crapping in about has dissolved- ( Heat can dissolve AND it comes in domes!) only in America!!!
As Clive James once said "God bless America- It's a great place to keep all the Americans! "
6 Toll booths and 4 hours later and we are here!
