Cameron Highlands
We arrived in the Cameron Highlands at around mid-day on Friday after a 4 hour coach journey. Once we had checked in to our room (at Fathers Guesthouse) we went for a walk around the town, stopping off for some very tasty Indian food whilst there! We headed back afterwards and chilled out in the cosy lounge area at our guesthouse for the evening. We watched 'Blades of Glory' too which was very funny.
The next day we went on a half day countryside leisure tour around the Cameron Highlands. We visited a honey farm, strawberry farm and Boh Tea Plantation. The tea plantation was great fun, we watched the workers (tea pluckers) pick the tea leaves in the fields and then the workers in the factory put the leaves on the withering racks to start the process. Our tour guide Mr Raj Singh was brilliant - very passionate about tea! Once we finished the tour we nipped down to Starbucks (we couldn't believe one was there!) for a refreshment before heading back to relax for a couple of hours.
On Sunday we went for a walk to Robinson Falls, along a woody pathway, which took about 30 minutes from where we were staying. It wasn't as amazing as Iguazu falls but never the less, worth a look. The following day we got a bus to Penang, our last stop before heading into Thailand.
