We arrived in Posadas at around 8pm after an afternoon bus journey from Iguazu, feeling extremely hungry! After spending a couple of hours in Posadas looking for a hostel we eventually found somewhere a block away from the plaza. The hostel itself was very basic, our room (a 4 bed dorm) smelt damp and felt quite cold. It got to the stage where we asked for our bedding to be changed due to the dampness of the sheets! However, it was so cheap we put up with it for the 2 nights we had booked, to try and save some money! We headed out at around 10.30pm for dinner and managed to find a restuarant that served delecious food at pretty good prices. With our tummys full we headed back to our hostel to get some much needed sleep!
The next day we decided to take a day trip to Paraguay to visit the ruins of the Jesuit Missions. We were fortunate enough to have brilliant weather (as you can see by the pictures) and the scenery was fantastic. We were more or less the only people there, and spent a couple of hours at the ruins exploring the site as well as taking some silly pictures of us all in various positions and attempting (well Lee was!) to do handstands! All good fun! We got a bus back to Posadas that afternoon all very happy and looking forward to dinner! That evening we headed back to the same restuarant as the night before for another yummy meal, and some tasty Argentinian wine!
On Friday we hung around the plaza and looked in the shops, killing time before our bus trip to our next destination, Cordoba.
