Today we had breakfast down at the Club Lounge. It was buffet with fresh fruits, American style food and even fresh fish! Then we took the MTR train to the Filipino church. It was mostly made up of females and I saw only three males there plus the American pastor. The service was in English and afterwards they had a small potluck. We got to fellowship with some of the ladies before returning to our hotel to relax.
While my three companions relaxed and caught up on their e-mail I went down to enjoy the spa. My back, neck and shoulders have been aching so badly from all this traveling and being a nice "Asian" girl not saying what is on my mind that the tension was pretty bad. But after a nice 45 minute massage, which cost about $50, I feel so much better. We then walked down the 'Avenue of Stars', a harbor view promenade where you can see the famous Hong Kong stars and their handprints. It is like Mann's Chinese Theater with the foot and hand imprints, only here it is just hands.
Dinner was at the Spaghetti factory, where we had a 15 minute wait. It was pretty good and popular with the locals. I only saw one other American group there. After dinner Jen went back to the hotel while my cousins and I took the Star Ferry across to the Hong Kong island side to watch the light show. We met a few Filipinas along the way it seems my people are everywhere. The nice thing about being brown is you blend in so well! When we were in Thailand, people thought we were Thai, the same in Cambodia and here they just think we are domestic helpers who don't have money. They don't harass you to buying touristy things and you can meander along without anyone really taking notice of you! After about 15 minutes of watching the lights change we took the ferry back to Tsim Sha Tsui (the station on the Kowloon side where our hotel is located) and walked back down the 'Avenue of Stars' to our hotel.
