Woke up early and did some sink laundry and then headed to Pula to see the best preserved and sixth largest Roman amphitheater as well as the very cool town. Got some bakery sandwiches and got yelled at for having a too-large-denomination-bill to pay for my sandwich. I liked Pula, but James Joyce didn't and left after only six and a half months! Then off to explore Robinj where Cretia and I almost died after making fun of a saint's relic and climbing the stairs of her tower. Off to a dinner of traditional Istran food - pasta, mushrooms, veal, etc. slow cooked in an earthenware pot in a fire etc. then back to hotel for sunset, full moon, and serenade from local mens' acapella group practicing in church down the way. Off to Plitvice tomorrow!
