Real bad about the blogs. But here is another post finally. I have been so busy. Im back in Rosario but this is a picture from a parilla I ate at in Montevideo Uruguay where I traveled to 2 weekends ago. It was a blast. The weather was perfect, we explored the local markets, relaxedon the beaches and met many locals in our hostel. Our hostel was pretty unhygenic to say the least. Run by all men I dont think the showers or bathrooms there have ever been cleaned. Also, the guys at the hostel didnt care for us "yankees" much haha. One night when my friends and I returned to our room at about 4 am, the other travelers were already asleep (3 other men from, 1 from korea and 2 from the middle east) My bed was the top bunk and it was particularly janky and while I was brushing my teeth my "friends" kindly partially disassembled it. Of course it broke then when I was trying to climb into it in my half drunken stooper. My amigos were laughing pretty hard as I cursed and tried to reassemble it in the dark waking everybody up. Eventually the korean man turned to me, and in the only sentence he probably spoke of english said "what the f*** man..." haha so I had to go down to the "lobby" which was more like a big bean bag chair where el dueno(the boss) sat. At 4 am tired and intoxicated it didnt occur to me to put on a shirt or pants and so once again I was the laughing stock of the lobby when "the pale white yankee" came downstairs all disgruntled about his bed. Anyways funny story. This particular steak was particularly memorable, not only because it was delicious and only like 12 bucks with the exchange rate haha buttt.....my friend god robbed at this parilla we were eating at. A short fat man approached us while we were eating when he overheard our english. He was dressed nicely and said he had seen us earlier walking around and could tell we were "yankees" ...surprise surprise. I blame that on my friend Silas who dresses like Napolean Dynamite...Anyways his english was great and he told us there was a big concert on the beach that day and that the Foo Fighters would be playing. Of course we bought it haha....He asked my friend Seabass (Silas) to accompany him around the corner to buy the tickets for all 3 of us so Silas told us he would be right back. An hour later he showed up empty handed and out about $100 U.S. hahaha the guy had taken him 3 blocks away sweettalking him about the club he owned and the cool things he was gonna show us, then asked Silas to sit in the park for 5 minutes while he went up into his apartment to get the tickets. Silas gave him the money and let him walk away with it(rookie mistake), and of course he never came back haha. Poor Seabass. We've been ripping jokes on him about getting those Foo Fighters tickets ever since...haha. Anyways lifes great actually better than great its pretty much perfect here. My next post has to be about Rosario ive been here almost 2 months and havent talked about it yet, not that I can truly capture my experiences with a blog and a picture...but I have many great stories I want to get in writing somewhere...
