Hi all,
Just a quick update from Nha Trang. Well we collected our new outfits and were very impressed! Who needs high street shops when you can have your wardrobe tailor made in Vietnam! Could get very used to this.
Had great fun at the cooking class, Trish whipped up some mackeral wrapped in banana leaves and Cat made some scrummy vegetable spring rolls. We also learned not to say Yum Yum in Vietnam as here it means you are craving something else besides food.....
Here in Nha Trang (The resort area of Vietnam) we took to the water on a very classy 'booze cruise' which started at 9 in the morning! We visited a few islands and had our very own floating bar where we sampled some local rice-wine shots! Yum Yum
Still feeling the merriness of the day we headed for the sailing club where we drank cocktails from buckets on the beach. not every day you'd see swings at the bar! great night was had by all and glad to say the two Irish stayed standing but did make two trips back to hotel to carry lightweights to their beds!!
Leaving Nha Trang this evening and heading to Ho Chi Minh city by mice-filled sleeper train. When we arrive we'll be exploring Ho Chi City and the Cu Chi Tunnels, we've also planned a trip to Mekong Delta at the weekend.
Must say really appreciating today as teachers and kids heading back to school after the hols, im sure everyone loved those early morning messages from Cat wishing them a great day! To all at Educate Together... I'll be checking the progress of termlys and fortnightlys, hope they're all up to date. More than happy to check over any while sunning on the beach!!!
slan for now,
love Trish & Cat x x
