When we flew into rwanda the ground was covered with small farms but not on flat ground. The ground looked like ocean waves. But steep hills up and steep hills down so farming is difficult and is mostly done by hand
This began about thousands of
years ago and when farmers moved to Rwanda. They were called Hutus. Then cattle grazers called tutses moved in as well. The tutses were Were very tall and slim people. The Hutus and the Tutses worked tougher with out too pretty well until about one hundred years ago. Then in 1994 the Hutus decided to kill all of the tutsis. This is called Genecode. It was horrible. Over two million people were killed in a terrible civil war. In the end the Tutsis won and they made peace with the Hutus shortly after.
On our first day to Rwanda we visited the Genecide museum which told us where this story was told. There were pictures sculls and bones but we were not allowed to take pictures.
The government today is peaceful and the president, Mr . Kagame is loved by evry one and all over the country the streets and sidewalks are clean with no trash. It may be the cleanest country in Africa.

Aunt Sandy Good Morning Chrissy! What an incredible experience you're having with Anna and her family. You're blessed beyond measure. You and Anna will have a bond regarding world cultures that will last a lifetime! I was very moved by the Rwanda blog you posted. Genocide is a very sad part of history. I am grateful that you and Anna have Gerry and Patty to explain some of the difficult things that you're seeing during this trip. We're having a fantastic time at Aunt Meredith's beautiful island home in Hawaii. Love you so much! Enjoy the rest of your trip beautiful girl! XO Aunt Sandy
