After staying 59 days you have to extend your visa, so beacuse my 59 days arealmost over, i went on my way to extend my visa. Unfortunetly this didn't work out as i planned, I made a appointment with my 2 dutch co-volunteerworkers to meet in makati, beause i saw on the web that there, in makati, is a board of immigration, i started this journey at 8am. The first thing that went wrong: i chose the wrong way to get there. Instead of taking 1mrt line i took 2lrt lines, second: you're not allowed to wear flipflops and a sleeveless shirt. 3: they didn't extend visa's there. so after a trip of already 3 hours or so, the girls texted me that they were going t intramouros to extend it there, so with the little money i had left for that day i took a cab and went to intramouros as well. Once i got there and my friends were there as well, we got to the process of extending a visa, a process that takes you a lot of hours waiting, negging anf hoping. any way it all went fine, because after an hour or 8,5 i got my visa, now the next thing was going home. this took us also a lot of time, due to the traffic, because you know always ervey hour is rush hour in the philippines, always crowdy and chaos. after a long jeepney ride we arrived at their town and figured out we woudn't be able to make it to wushuwushu lesson (the kids had invited us to this), so each of us went theur way to home, and finally at 7.45pm i was home after one long day of extending a visa.
If you think you have experianced it all already in the Philippined you're wrong, every day you will see new things and every day is a adventure. Heartbroken will you be about the poor people, who are begging you for food or money, about the streetchilderen you see ''working'' late at night, or sleeping on a piece of carbon on the streets because they don't have a home to go to. But also happy odd things, like people screeming baluuuuuuut (a hard boiled egg with a embryo in it) or just a women who has a headset with a docking station to spread the world. You can think of anything and you will see it here.
Philippines, where everything is possible.
About my volunteer work, that is going great, I still enjoy everyday I go there, the childeren still as sweet as they always were, getting a better connection with them as well and we are busy with the bedrooms now, a total makeover, that's our preject, but not for long anymore, friday Janna is leaving and the wednesday after that Merle, after they left i will start dancing lessons, get those kids in movement even more then they already are.
