This one's a bit of a gamble, our travelling technique seems to be the 'winging it' approach so we stumble across things, hope it's amazing and it seems to be working pretty well.
Not really knowing what we were going to be seeing here, we again were pleasantly surprised with our first viewing of the Colorado red rocks.
The monument- actually being in fairly large national park-is located right next to Grand Junction, featuring red sandstone canyons, a long winding scenic road through rock tunnels, apparently a wide range of wildlife- we saw a few rabbits- and of course, the star attraction of the park, the monument.
There's many trails within the park, easy to difficult but arriving too late we went for one of the shorter hikes 'Devils Kitchen' trail which lead us to the red rock boulders, another upward mission but well worth it hike.
