Hello again all and sorry for the delay in updating, but I'm sure it's quite nice for you all to have a breather. Feeling much better now thank you, but not 100%. I think now it may just be down to the malaria tablets, which I have to take for another 3 weeks. Today was beautiful - not a cloud in the sky and about 35 degrees, but bearable as there is no humidity like there was in Asia and being on the coast there is a nice breeze. Definitely burning weather, so factor 60 sun cream it was. Tomorrow it should reach about 39 degrees, cooling down to about 27 by Wednesday. It sure beats scraping the frost off the car to go to work in the morning!
Suzanne
You have been quiet for a couple of days hope your feeling better.
Susana & Jim
Hi, Sherry! We hope you are better now. The malaria tablets are awful; they made me feel really ill and weak all the time after Brasil. They did not have the same effect on Jim...I reluctantly celebrated my 60th birthday and applied for my retirement from the teachers' world. There are four weeks left of work at Northlands and I will be "an idle (and very poor) woman". Cannot wait! Both Jim and I look forward to being back home, near the kids and grandchildren. We missed our friends too. It has been a long time, although the five years went so quickly. Jim and I are planning a trip round the world, so we will be asking for your advice. I do not think that we will be as adventurous as you are, but you will be able to give us some idea of what not to do, or do...As from December 20th, our email will be [email protected] Look after yourself and keep enjoying life. Lots of love from us.
Suzanne
Hope your feeling a bit better. Its quite cold here now. Christmas things in every shop.
For those out of the uk who were confused TK MAX is a shop, it sells designer stuff cheaply!

Love all your messages. Thinking of you.

In Freemantle and feeling very old and sorry for myself. Everyone at this hostel is so young and loud, apart from one woman who is old enough to be my mum and should know better! Have also come down with some sort of gastric flu - achey and squitty - not pleasant, but at least the loos here are good! Just dosed up on paracetomol to venture out and try to eat as I need to take malaria tablet soon and can't do it on an empty stomach, or lie down for an hour after taking, so wish me luck!

Well it may have got a slating by the critics but the Bridget Jones film is hilarious. Bit of a girly film, but has parts in it we can all relate to. Taxi driver not too good in it though - she asks to be taken to the Inns of Court and I KNOW its the gates to St Bartholomews Hospital Smithfield because I had three on my children there! I think you should just about be in Austrailia now. I hope its not too hot for you.
Suzanne
Well obviously not everyone can! and if I am travelling the world I want to do it in comfort - well relative comfort anyway and not on a bike. Some of us had a deprived childhood in central London and were not allowed bikes because of the traffic (probably because they couldnt afford them!). Ive taken your mother by car (500 yards!)to TKMAX (complaining because her feet hurt). Did you get the photo I sent from my mobile?
Sherry
Mum - no worries re TKMAX, cash will do!!!!! Suzanne - EVERYONE over the age of 7 can ride a bike! E-mail playing up again, so apologies for not replying. I think the weather is against me, I have been checking the weather in Perth and up until today it has been around 20 degrees, but by Monday it is going to reach 34 degrees. There goes my chance to stop leaking for a while and out comes the factor 60 again.

My mum (suzanne) keeps telling me about all your wonderful travels so I decided to look for myself. I did say I would travel around the world with her in a few years time .Then I told her I wanted to do it on a bicycle and she lost interest because SHE CANNOT RIDE A BIKE!! Keep up the good work!
Suzanne
Why have you never told your mother about TKMAX? all mothers with daughters know about TKMAX! I have had to sit and explain (with the usual interruptions!) about what they sell. Well anyway there is one just about to open in Dartford so I will try and encourage her to get your presents there.
