Hope you got the text message. Let me know if you did and I will try and teach mum how to punctuate the ones she sends to you.

Just to let you all know that I have purchased an Australian sim card for my mobile phone. My new number is 0404 754201. Please feel free to text or call, but you may need to add the internetional code for Australia to it, whatever that may be, possibly +61, but please check. S xx

Shez,
What's this about "riff raff" at Youth Hostels - surely they should accept you however you appear !!!!!!
E mail on its way.
Glad the squits have gone away, just make sure you leave them in Oz.

Sherry Sore Bottom!!
Sore for different reasons this time - spent the day on a bicycle, but more about that in the next postcard. Just wanted to say hi and let you know that I will be making a determined effort to find somewhere to sort out this photo problem tomorrow, as I'm sure you're all missing your fix of scenic images!! S xx

Hiya Sherry,
Have just had a chance to catch up on your news. You are not old! (Otherwise I am old too!) You sound like you are still having a great time, apart from being sick for a bit (sorry to hear that). I see my ma and pa have been in touch too. Anyway, I am back at work now and am revelling in the freedom! All still a bit of a shock to the system, but I am finding my brain slowly! Thanks for our Xmas card! You are too organised! Where will you be for Xmas? All well with us, except that Tatia has been a bit ill with a chest infection and bottom problems (much like you from the sounds of things!). She's much better now though. Right, won't ramble on anymore, suffice to say we all send our love and I am chuffed as I will be able to keep up with your travels and tales more now I am back at work. Lol xxx

Good to read that you are on the mend. When you were here 95/96, we walked in the falling snow on Oct. 31. It has snowed three times since Sept. but non stayed. From this point on any snow will stay for forecasters are predicting lows of-17C! With a bit of luck the snow should be gone by the time you get here in May. We love this vicarious travelling.
All our love.
Mummy's Little Girl!!
What about all the snakes, scorpions, mass murderers, rapists, arsonists, drunk drivers, natural disasters and giant man eating kangaroos?!
Mum
Whilst you're on the topic of being a mum, may I just remind you that there are sharks in Australian waters and poisonous spiders - it's a mother thing! xxx

Ive found out about the chess competition! Us mothers cant help worrying. Ive been checking the snow reports all day because there was some talk of the races being cancelled but they wont make the decision until 7 tomorrow morning so I can worry all night too! Do they not have superior rooms in these youth hostel places so you dont have to mix with the riff raff! Dont you find the chocolate is melting in the heat or are you eating it before it has a chance to? Ben is always wanting Cadbury's cream eggs sent out - they are difficult to find in November!
