Came home to smells of Saskatoon Berry Pie in the oven & Budweiser in fridge last night ..... Me thinks he might be leaving me for someone else!?!?!

Mum and I have just had lunch in the pub. She had a huge sausage sandwich with chips. She had a packet of chocolate biscuits this morning too. I did promise I wouldnt tell your dad because she is trying to cut down a bit. As if I would tell anyone!

The pie sounds good but I have no idea what it is ..............so for all of you I found the recipe
Saskatoon Berry Pie
Ingredients:
Pie Filling:
3 1/2 cups Saskatoon Berries
1/2 cup Water
3/4 cup Sugar
3 tbsp Corn Starch
2 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Butter
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
Pastry:
2 cups pastry flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup lard
1/4 cup cold water
Instructions:
Pie Filling:
Cook berries in water until boiling. Reduce water if using frozen berries. Add mixed cornstarch and sugar and boil until clear, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice, butter and almond extract. Cool. Use as a filling for single or double crust pie, tarts, or on a cheesecake.
Pastry:
Sift flour, measure and sift again with salt. Cut in lard until in pea-sized pieces. Mix in cold water. Form into a ball. Roll out and place in pie plate. Use extra pastry for top crust. Bake at 425 F for 15 minutes. Cool.

Bit tired today cos i've been up since 1am blowing up ballons for the london marathon. I'm getting into this long distance running a bit myself, i even bought Paula Radcliff's autobiography, but i read half of it then gave up!!!
Better not hang around on the computer too long, i've got a whole lot of house cleaning to be getting on with, ready for inspection.

We started looking at the Cook Island photos at breakfast and have just finished! We didn't think that when you said you had 5 hours to kill at the airport that it would take us that long to view them!!!
Moi wants to know if you managed to bring any exotics home from the Cook Islands and I want to know what did you to entertain yourself with the Sea Cucumbers? We find it strange that you had plenty of Sea Cucumbers being thrown at you - what about the men? (Is this because you had a recent identity change and have now come out as 'Mark, formally known as Sherry')
