Trailor on Tour
The picture opposite it what this area is supposed to look like, however I have not been able to see the sea due to the incessant rain. Last night I actually took my flip flops off to walk home as they would have been washed away in the torrent running down the pavement otherwise.
Today we have another weather warning for tonight, for exceedingly high winds as the cyclone approaches shore. The hostel was quite literally battening down the hatches, but fingers crossed it won't be too bad as I don't think they've given it a name yet, so it can't be that big!! I may have to look up the difference between all these windy weather phenomena - typhoon, cyclone, hurricane, etc as I have no idea what to expect later on when it hits. I've checked the weather on the internet and it seems there won't be any clear weather here until at least Saturday, so I'm seriously thinking of flying somewhere if I can find a cheap flight. Cabin fever really is setting in and all the hostels are overflowing as no boats are going out and roads are still closed.
I even did one of those internet IQ tests that pop up every now and again and have discovered that I am a highly intelligent visionary philosopher - what a load of old pony!! Anything to get me out of the hostel and in from the major precipitation we're having.
Anyway - please write and stop me climbing the walls. Love S xx
