HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow - what can I say! New Year's Eve started with me joining ANdy & Greg (uini friends) for brunch somewhere in Sydney! I had to travel by ferry across the harbout and meet the boys by the Opera House. What a harsh life. After getting home, (Andrew's home anyway!) I popped round to see Jasmine & Ed (school friends) for a quick drink as we watched the crowds gather from their balcony. What an atmosphere. 1000s of people in the hot sun entertaining themselves whilst waitinf for the fireworks to begin! Back to Andrew's for my New Year's celebrations. He had a few friends round and we had a perfect view of the Harbour from his lounge... we popped outside where we joined the neighbours for Round 1 of the Firewoks at 9pm, then back up to the apartment for more food and drink! The fireworks at midnight were spectacular! The atmosphere was amazing. The harbour felt like one big amphitheatre as you could hear people from everywhere. 2006 started with fireworks followed by chocolate dessert - it doesn't get much better than that! My bed for the night (and a few other nights) was by the window looking out to the bridge. Which was great when jet lag prevented me from sleeping so I was well entertained. You can't get bored of that view! New Year's Day - the hottest on record or something like that! Went to the cinema to cool down! Happy New Year everyone! T xx
