Hey Everyone! Sorry it has taken us so long to write this blog - I guess we have been kind of busy! Last time we wrote we were in Jeffreys Bay - well a lot has happened since then as you can imagine! We carried on travelling up the coast of SA - stopping in Port Elizabeth, Umzumbe, Durban, St Lucia, Swaziland and then Jo'berg before we could get to Kruger. There is not much to report about any of these places as we didnt really do a huge amount except relax! It is all beautiful though and we wish we had had longer!
Matt wants to tell you about Kruger so I will let him continue!
Well what can I say... Kruger was absolutely amazing, and in my opinion the best part of the trip so far!!! We spent three nights in luxurious tented accomadation where there was a swimming pool and jacuzzi - quite surreal as we were in the middle of wilderness! We went on two night safaris, and a whole day safari and on this we saw four of the big five before breakfast. Unfortunately we saw no lions however we did see two leopards which according to our guide Justin was incredibly rare and a much better sight than lions. The highlights of the safari other than the leopards was seeing a troop of elephants including their babies, hippos and pretty much all the animals you can think of in the lion king!! :-) The giraffes being Totties particular favourite!!
After 'Roughing' it in the wild we were treated to a night in a beautiful 5* lodge which was proper luxury compared to the hostels we were staying in. We had a beautiful pool, a very interesting tour in their chimpanzee haven and an incredible 3 course meal which was delicious! A truly wonderful end to an amazing three weeks in South Africa... and then we went back to the dive that is Jo'Burg, luckily just for the night before we flew to Thailand.
So the next day we flew out to Thailand (Matt has told me to let you know its tots writing now - I think he is embarrased by my spelling!!!) We had a very smooth flight and transferred in Singapore, before flying to Bangkok. We arrived in Bangkok in the morning, feeling very tired and in need of showers! We arrived at our little hotel which was lovely for the 2 nights we would spend there. We decided we had to keep ourselves up for the day so wandered off into the city to see what we could find! We were immedialty spotted by a Tuk-Tuk man (check out the pic of the Tuk-Tuk) who told us he would drive us around the city for 30 Baht to see all the sights! (30 Baht is less than 50p!) We told him we wanted to have a wander but would take him up on his offer later in the day - and that we did!  He drove us to some beautiful temples and golden buddahs, and also to the TAT where we booked the rest of our trip in Thailand! He was wonderful and drove us around for then next two days seeing the sights of Bangkok - its was so much fun even if a terrible risk to our lives! (You will have to see the vid Mat took on my camera! hehe)
So here we are now about to spent our third night in Koh Samui! It is truly beautiful here and all we have done is sunbath eat and sleep! Unfortuanatly this has led to me sunburning my face and my eyes sweling up like balloons (I satyed out of the sun today!) but I guess that is the price you have to pay for a good tan! haha!
We have another night here after tonight and then we are off to Koh Panang for 4 nights and a full moon party!Â
Check out the new photos and be in touch with us! All our love and kisses! Tots and Matt xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxÂ
