Wednesday - We had breakfast out on our own deck and then drove around town and past the marina to a lookout that looks down onto 4 mile beach. There is a little plaque that has places around the world and how far the places are. There was Vancouver on it and it was 13,400 km away. Then we drove to Mossman gorge past an aboriginal town and sugar cane plantations. There were a few people and lots of tour busses. A while down the track we came to a cold river where...

Tuesday - We took the plane to Cairns, then rented a car and drove up to Port Douglas. I went for a 2 1/2 hour swim. Then early bed. 

Monday - After breakfast we headed out to some caves. We saw signs for kangaroos and wombats, but we only saw a dead wombat on the side of the road. When we got there we first drove through a big natural bridge. We then got the tickets and headed into the caves. We saw a really neat statue that was a long stalactite that was about as tall as a person. Then we drove back to Sydney and had a swim and went to sleep. 

Sunday - We woke early and had a big breakfast. Then we walked down to the info centre where we watched parrots feed at bird feeders. We took a short walk to the three sisters and then we walked part way down the 1000 steps. We walked back to the info centre and walked a very long walk to a scenic railway which was a looooong drop, then a walk to a waterfall and up to a scenic skyway. Saturday - We met my dad's (virtual) friend today face-to-face. We took the train to the other side of the harbour bridge then we walked back along the bridge. We got bagels for lunch and took the ferry across to Manley. There we walked to the beach where I jumped in the waves and got saltwater in my mouth. Then I sat in the sand and buried my legs in the sand and sat for a while. Then I got changed and got a huuuuuge icecream and gobbled it up. Then back to ...
