Hello! Sorry for such a delay in updates over the past week. As you can imagine, I havn't really stopped and have been partying a tad too hard (for a change!). Figured it was time to fill you in on the past weeks. Right...Singapore.

Although it wasn't the most exciting place we have been I had such a good week there. It felt so odd to be out of Thailand. you don't really realise exactly what it is like until you have left. Spent ages in Singapore airport - which truly is amazing. We have decided to add it as one of our destinations seeing as we seem to have spent so many hours there!

First impression of Singapore - very clean and orderly. Huge buildings and although very westernised, there is so much eastern culture at the same time. Especially around our hostel 'The Inn Crowd'(amazing place) which is in Little India. We stayed in a dorm of 17 beds. All men except Jen and I for the first few nights - Typical! It was really nice as our Scottish friends from Koh Phi Phi were there also. Was good to see some familiar faces for a change. On the first night they took us out to the cinema and it was good to do something 'normal'. Decided to walk home which turned out to be a big mistake. The heavens opened (monsoon season - duh!) and we got soaked!! Literally looked like we had all jumped in the sea. So funny tho!

After that it didn't stop raining for about 4 days. Jen and I did some shopping (there are soooo many malls in Singapore!). But sucks as we are poor and have no room in our bags to buy anything! The boys decided they would go to the zoo as 'it was never going to stop raining'and got drenched! Was so funny the next day when the sun came out for me and Jen to go. They were cursing us as we always seem to do everything better than them! hehe. Zoo was very good....but lets face it.....a zoo.

Spent 2 nights planning to go out in Singapore but somehow (well too many vodka trips to the 7eleven next door) we didnt leave the hostel and just drank with the boys and they cooked for us. Get in! managed to make lots of enemies waking the dorm up at 6.30am 2 nights on the trot and I had a full on argument with a german guy. Luckily he left the next day.

Next day was pretty much a write off so we chilled in front of the TV and got over our hangovers whilst the rain continued to come down. The Jen and I went to the cinema - again! Felt very lost the next day as the boys had gone, but took advantage of not feeling hungover and the nice weather and explored Singapore. Went on some cable cars (god I hate cable cars - bloody scary) over to Sentose Island but didnt stay there as it is meant to be quite naff and touristy. We then went to Vivo and Harbour malls and finally went to Raffels for our Singapore Slings. very nice!

That evening we went to the Night Safari which was awesome. Had the most hilarious taxi journey there. The driver was so worried about us travelling and kept going on about how unsafe places were! Generally we used the MRT around the city which was really efficient and sooooo clean.

Our last night in the Inn Crowd we were pretty much expecting to get woken up after our antics during the week. Our south african friends and a dutch girl came back at about 5am and we thought we had been pretty lucky when they were fairly quiet and went to sleep pretty quickly.....until the dutch girl started puking - off the top bunk!!!! She had passed out and wasnt responding to any of us! Felt very sorry for the guy below her when it started dripping down onto his bed! Nice!! Eventually managed to get some sleep before getting up to go to the airport where we spent another 8 hours!

All in all, didn't get to see that much of the city but went to all the sites we had planned to and had so much fun. Shame about the weather but nothing a few months in Oz won't cure! Sorry. Lots of love! xxxx
