Yo dudes!
Well the time has come once again for an update, althugh it has only been 2 weeks alot has happened and we have been all over the place, mainly Goa. So just going to be a quick update on each place because if i tell u everything then i wont have anyone to buy me a drink when i come home to tell all the stories!
Mumbai
MENTAL! That is all you really need to know, we stayed a few streets from the Taj Mahal hotel which was under seage a while back, so in true standards we bounced in for a pint one night, they actually let us in, was so nice inside however drinks the same as an expensive bar back home!
Went to Elephanta Island which was kool, although we didnt really know what the caves meant and the religious stuff as our ticket "which included giude" did not appear to have a guide, random but a normal day in indian life! We were due to do a Bollywood film which would have been great but i got a bit sick and we culdnt go! So we hung around in Mumbai! For those "Real Men" out there i tried to drink beer for about three days, the result, i still think beer is minging!
We then decided to hit the road and headed to Goa, got an overnight train for 350r each which is like 4pound! It was great experaicne but aweful to be honnest, loads of dodgy stuff going on and the indians just stared at us! This has however annoying become a regular occurance as they seem to be obsessed with our feet and take photos of us!
GOA
Goa was lovely, we ended up in Benlim first for two days and enjoyed a few days on the beach, it was my 25th Birthday (thanks for all my messages) so we celbrated in the local bar, the dude from UB40 was doing a set, he was awesome, really chilled! Me and Collie ended up drinknig the local Feni for abut 5pence per 60mil shot, was minging and they all laughed when we ordered! The next day we splashed out a pound and went to the hotel swimming pool. was great! That night my actual birthday we went into Colva to meet Leoni (mate from uni) and Claire for a night out, was good craic again!
Go Kanna
Myself, Collie and Claire headed down the coast together by train to Go Kanna, which is a gorgeous area below Goa which has 5 different beaches, we went and stayed at Kuddlie beach for two days, the most chilled out beach and really gorgeous, minus the rubbish on the beach! We walked over the hill one day to Go Kanna Town and had a lookie aboutee.
Goa - Patnem
Headed back up to Goa by train and stayed at Patnem beach, which was really nice, it was clean, chilled and the sea was amazing! We has cocktails for 1pound each (meself and claire didnt realsie the strength until after) and we spent a few chilled days!
Goa - Palolem
Headed to the next beach across which was Palolem, alot more lively but also a gorgoues beach! We met Leoni here agian to go to a party on an island called Sun Set! IT WAS AWESOME! We got a boat over and drank CIDER all night, yes thats rite CIDER! It was called Tempest, made in goa and 8%, guess the rest yourself! It was a great night and the location was amazing!
Next day we chilled out and rented Kiakes at sunset and had a paddle around, was also joined by two seels!
Old Goa
Myself and Collie headed to Old Goa, the train left over 2 hours late and we didnt arive until dark, the local werent to welcoming so we decided after a while to get bus to Panjim (state capital), it was bit of nightmare finding accommodation but we did in the end! This ornign we had a walk aruond to find the tourist centre that never opened and spent a few hours in train station to find no tickets, we have now to get a 11hour bus ride overngiht to Mumbai followed by about 6 hours hanging round and try and get a 10hour train to our next destination, we should hopefully arrive late tommorrow night! This will not be fun!
So there we go people, hope you enjoyed the little update, we are having a realy good time but with hard times included! The people over her think we are walking banks and we are really becming hard nuts, you might buy something for 8.40 and they wont give you change out of 10pounds, its weird, but we fight out way thro it! The haggling can be good craic tho, we make a good laugh out of it, we prob get it like 3/4 cheaper then they first ask for but we stil end up paying more!
Hope all is well at home gys and look forward to hearing the craic!
As for me and Collie we are now off to the bus in a bit
Buckle Up!
