Tom - World Tour!
Hi guys, we are still alive and in the Baja! WE stayed 4 nights in La Paz (the regional capital) before heading to San Jose del Cabo on the southern most tip. La Paz is an ex fishing town with crystal clear water and white beaches! It seems to be full of crazy over 50 Americans ex pats touring Mexico on their own and we have had a few interesting conversations and evenings with them! We met a couple of guys on their way back form a fishing trip who in sympathy of ex students with still no money took us out for some food at one of the bars on the beach front, thanks guys. It's been 4 days of relaxing otherwise, visiting some of the best beaches (just) as we got chucked off the bus for no reason, and checking out the town and local food! Tacos are the stable diet down here in Mexico but there pretty cheap and very good! I tried some crocodile at a local restaurant off the main strip which was awesome as well. On Monday we traveled to San Jose del Cabo and struggled to find a cheap accommodation as on the beach front is just full of gringo hotels! We have been staying at a place in the town for 300 Pesos a night just over 7 pounds. Tomorrow we head to Cabo San Lucas for 1-2 nights which is supposed to be the party town down here full of gringos (American tourists) on spring break. Then we head onto Todos Santos on the pacific coast which is a good surfing spot and then back to La Paz for 4 nights of 'fiestas' which are supposed to be happening from Wednesday onwards! Adios Amigos!
