Amazingly managed to get up pretty early with Fionn and Vicky and we headed looking for a sambo. Me and Vicky then went on a good long walk all around darwin. Disasterous start to the day! After Mark, Fionn and myself got up early, make sambos , got beer and walked down to the wharf to go fishing the sea was too choppy to go out! Lazed around the hostel til mid afternoon, the sun has disappeared but its still v v humid. Went to an amazing outdoor market, down by Mindil Beach this evening with Veronica and her mec Jerry. Ended up on a very late and very messy session last night. Went to a really nice BYO Viatnamese restaurant. Made our way afterwards to the local hotspot Shennanigans (aka Shags for any Skerries people reading). In my defence this was the first Irish bar I'd entered since arriving in Oz! Arrived in Darwin this evening after stopping in Katherine, an arse of a place, for a few hours. We've had a bit of trouble booking a hostel in Darwin as its peak season there so for tonight Vicky and Sheila are in 1 dorm and Mark, Fionn and myself are in another, we've moving into a room together in the morning, we're staying at the YHA on Mitchell St. Going out for a slap up dinner tonight in celebration of never having to get the Gahn ever again!
