We had a nice free breakfast and did some washing before leaving for the red fort. By this stage there were 7 of us so it was a tuktuk race there. We had an hour to dash around the red fort which was an amazing place and incredible views over Jaipur. We left at 11:30 and got a tuktuk back to collect our bagsAn obligatory smash into a motorcyclist on the way back, knocking her flying, and we were back at the hostel. We grabbed our backs then headed to find the 1pm bus leaving for Agra. As soon as we stepped out of the tuktuk we were accosted by a couple of guys persuading us to go on their 'fast, cheap, comfortable bus' to Agra. After a 7 hour journey on a slow, cheap, uncomfortable bus, we were there. This was Helens birthday night so we got a tuktuk to take us to the Jaypee Palace hotel. We were greeted by some incredibly friendly Indians who sorted us out with a nice room and a birthday cake for the birthday girl. We went for an explore to find the pool. We sat by the pool and almost went for a late night swim, only to discover that the pool was actually the pond - a very flash looking one! Failure to find the actual pool resulted in going back to the room to tuck into the pineapple birthday cake. We soon discovered that the Taj Mahal was closed on a Friday which meant to long lie in the morning but a second night in Agra.
