dear tom sorry to hear that you had to give to charity. glad that you managed to get it back on tax. s*** happens. i always get worried when i'm having a really good time bcause i know that the ying and yang of life will eventually kick in. just take care of yourself - don't drink too much & do healthy chilled things - like surfing.
last of all - i know it feels like you've had your balls chopped off but you did the right thing.
nearly had a fight yesterday at football. i think this guy thought i was young and was trying to intimidate me. he had some really classy tats. i was in the mood to defend myself using reasonable force occifer but as usual in birmingham he was all mouth. top of the league by 7 points but were told yesterday we don't win anything apart from go into the play-offs for the top four. Doh!

Hi Tom, we've got a computer at home! First time we've seen your blog, it looks good but we've yet to read the journal properly. Ruby was on Anglia telly tonight, eating purple paint at an art gallery/museum. The house is coming along in tiny jumps and starts, and we've yet to rent out the london house...yikes! got tickets for Bestival, and will be trying to get Glastonbury tickets next. Just in case, we got Aerosmith tickets, they are playing on the same weekend. Love to you xxx

Hi there big little bro, Sorry it's been a while since I left a message it seems to be a bit non stop here at the minute and I'm completly knackered after what seems like months of disturbed nights from Amelie's cough. Just been catching up on all your entries and I now really want to visit Brasil, didn't have much of an interest in it before but it just sounds amazing. How did the trip to the botanical gardens go?? As for me, my back is alot better, off to glasgow next week with Ma & Pa, and starting a degree module on contempory issues in coronary care in May (well chuffed). Can't wait to see you in a few weeks. Amelie asked about you the other day so I'm sure she'll be really pleased to see you too. She's calmed down alot since her tantrum throwing. Take care, love Jxx

grat to hear from you, all sounds good even the bits I don't read. Babysitting went well but Jane wasn't at work because she was sent home because she hurt her back but she maanged to get some rest and it was good to catch up on gossip and news. Boring day today, housework and finishing off the education pack I'm doing on starting insulin - its a pack for GPs and practice nurses and next I'm doing one for dietitians and then specialsits i.e DSNs and SRs Sound good? The planning bit is good - its the finishing off - putting on coulured paper and correcting the typos and collating that's boring - still has to be done. Dad tells me the travelling home isn't straight forward - is it 10pm on the 4th at Heathrow or 10pm on 5th. I'm sure I can pick you up as long as I don't bring the MG, I'm sure you'll have more stuff than you left with!! Lots of love, M

Well it may have taken brazil to kick that grandad element out of you but it sounds like it's worth it. You best bring that work hard play hard attitude back to england with you!
Have a great mental picture of you half way up a rock face, did they really find a harness to fit your arse?
Continue the good work and take care

She really thought you were Brazilian?! Just caught up with your news Tom after a while and that has to be the funniest part of your diary so far! Reading about the climb was scary enough for me - dont want to think about how it was for you actually doing it - I guess the views were well worth it though.
You definitely seem to be following the work hard, play hard motto so keep having fun and I'll send you an update with all my news soon and how I finally met a snake...yes, it did happen!!
Lots of love, Abi xx

couldn't believe it! went onto the site and apart from Nick's messages which I already knew about there was nothing new - you must be busy. I', off tosee Anita and Ruby tomorrow and then straight off to Nottingham to see Jane and Amelie - its the first time I'll do the trips like that so I'm hoping it works out OK. Went to the cottage at the weekend and it was so wet we couldn't drive out the road was so flodded so had to go back and get out through Barrington and round to Seavington St. Michael - nightmare. I hope it dires up for Nicks weekend with his friends next weekend. Lots of love, m
