Title: Good-By Virgin Islands
This morning Barry went to check us out of immigration and we stowed everything away as best we could.
When Barry came back, it started raining so we waited for the squall to pass and went over to the fuel dock to top off the diesel. Then we headed out the channel and headed due north for the open sea.
As soon as we cleared the anchorage area, we raised the main and unfurled the genoa. The wind was coming out of the east so that put is on a starboard tack.
Mirko broke out the fishing gear and within an hour caught a tuna. We've already seen porpoise and flying fish.
But what would a day on this boat be like without a problem to fix? Today the foot pump that is used to pump fresh water into the galley sink, broke. It is very difficult to remove. Barry claims that there is a repair kit somewhere on the boat. If we can't remove it and fix it, then that cuts down our fresh water supply to the emergency supply of about 16 gallons.
