Title: Genoa Halyard Broke
I had just come off my 1100 to 1300 watch, got something to eat, and settled in to reading when Mirko started calling for Barry. Barry then asked me if I would go up to the bow and take the genoa down,
I suited up and went up and loosened the halyard and started pulling the sail down. Mirko came up with the sail bag and we started stuffing it in from the bag. Then I untied the sheets and secured them to the bow and made my way back to the cockpit. We don't know exactly what happened but the halyard somehow broke or came loose from the sail shackle. We'll have to look it it when we get to port.
We are about 55 miles out and should arrive about 0600 hours tomorrow.
