The waiting is almost over! It flies and it crawls in equal measure. So much left to do, and so much that will not get done, but either way the plan carries on. My last day of work is the 2nd of august, the NY ren faire that weekend. Oddly enough, I lived in the NY area for 3 or so years, and never ended up at the faire, so I'm really excited to finally be going. Its going to be the perfect kick off to the entire adventure. Although in some ways, the adventure started as soon as we decided it was a good idea to run off together. Ryan's last trip out to Ohio, I took him to Put-in-Bay, an island on Lake Erie. It was so great to have a whole day to just relax. Not to mention that driving a golf cart around the island was cool as hell. We saw the world's longest bar, which its employees apparently want to burn down and we found the winery where we want to have our big, family wedding. The tour and tasting was amazing and there was this perfect gazebo. It was also nice to show Ryan another cool place from my home state. Even the ferry ride to and from was fun, 45 minutes on open water with the wind on our faces. Couldn't ask for a more peaceful scene.

Now most of my time is spent working, and getting ready for our sendoff/wedding party the following weekend. All of my freinds here have accepted him so readily, it makes one less thing I have to worry about. The next two weeks are going to be busy, but I know they're going to fly by too fast.
