April's been a month of visitors, starting with Tim's Dad and Cheryl then followed by the wonderful Deborah and with Tim's 27th Birthday in-between! With the visitors, came the touring - some old and some new.
After giving Tim's Dad and Cheryl the grand tour of Raglan, we visited Rotorua for some geothermal activity, followed by a trip to Auckland, which included celebrating for the first and probably last time, harvest at Easter…Oddly with some Croatian dancing! Dave didn't quite manage to walk on the Sky Tower's glass floor, but was entertained all the same. We had a fab time, ate like royalty and it was just nice to spend time with family.
Tim celebrated his Birthday with a cheese board and 3 hours on a horse…..very civilised indeed.
For Deborah's visit we chilled out mainly. But we also took a very random tour of the 'glow-maggots' which included hiding in the dark for a length of period for no purpose! We also visited Zealong, NZ's own Oolong tea-estate. We had high tea, a mandarin tour and participated in a Chinese tea ceremony, all of this while Tim was 'working hard' - what a trooper! We collected Tim from work for Roto-vegas for a foot soak, the luge and Zorbing!
All have left sadly left us, so it's back to work for now. We're not sure if we can afford to visit anywhere before our big trip to Hawaii - Aloha - but we'll keep you posted!
