I have seen a bit more of England last weekend. I had an adventorous trip to Surrey which is located close to London and Kent. I had a local tour guide with em this time as Julian came for a visit and took me to see the place where he grew up and spent his childhood! :)
Our journey started on Friday 27.2. He came to Birmingham and we had a lovely day wanderign around the city and popping into the shops etc. It was really hard work to amke him to enter the Aston Villa store which i hadn't visited before...:D I had to return there today to do my purchasing to be honest as he wouldn't let my buy anything!! In the evening we were supposed to go in a real nice restaurant that i found some weeks ago. This Bushwackers was a real fancy place wjen I had my lunch there last time so IO thought it has to be very nice place for dining in the evening time...how wrong can someone be??When we entered we realised that it had been turned into a pub! People were standing all over the place, drinking beer and watching footie from several screens! I said that I won't eat in this place so we left straight away, which was very smart decission after all as we found a great Indian restaurant with white table cloths, wine glasse son the table and very good service indeed! I looove Indian food and this restaurant is deffinitely one of the best one's I have been to! It wasn't tood ear either...we paid approx. £36 for starters, two main courses, two bowls of rice, naan bread and two desserts, glass of house wine and one beer!Very good price-quality....:)
After the restaurant we had more adventorous experiences as we went to a birthday party in one of the student campuses. It was actually a double party for 2 girls...:) We had good time there drinking more wine and eating some chocolate cake!!!
The next morning we took off and drove down to Surrey. Very nice area I must say. Lovely green countryside, nice huge manor houses....rich people around...:D Maybe this will be my home-to-be...who knows....;)
We had a really nice day out in Guildford. It is a lovely old town with beautiful buildings and some nice parks and gardens around. All the shops were pretty expensive though....oh! I got really lucky there! We were just walking along the street when two girls came to ask us whether we wanted to pick up some vouchers from their bag. There was this campaign for one store where you could win very good vouchers to be used in the shop! I got this £20 voucher and I went in and bought a new summer wallet. It was cheap enough to eb bought for £20....it was quite expensive shop...:D
In the late afternoon we took a drive around the surrounding countryside on our way to Cobham. Narrow little countryside roads were a bit sacrey when there was another car driving towards us...I was sure that we cannot pass each other without any accidents but we did...:D Romatic place I should say.....or idyllic......;)
We spent the Saturday evening with Julian's parents and theyt ook us out for a meal,Indian again!!However, this restaurant was as good as the previous one so it was alovley and fullfilling meal again! Absolutely gorgeous.:) It is a great pity that we don't have very good Indian restaurants in Finland!
On Sunday I spent the most of my day travelling back to B'ham. Juklain droped me off at Gatwick airport as he went back to Finalnd and I took a tarin to London, Victoria station again as on the very same day when I arrived in the UK. There I just changed to the bus and started the journey back home....mostly sleeping...:)
Hehee...nioce to up-date this blog JUST before my next trip...which in to FINLAND tomorrow!! Just for a weekend though...coming back here on Monday...;)
Until then people.....Have good weekends!
Byre bye!
