LONDON LONDON LONDON!Finally I had a chance to visit London again....I spent the whole day there yesterday (Saturday). The weather was the best possible one:the sun was shining and the sky was blue and clear! It wa spretty warm too, approx. 12-14 degrees and people were just shopping wearing only t-shirts!I had my winter coat on but I will not buy a new spring coat from here as I will go home for a weekend in two weeks time so I can bring one here with me then...it will be cheaper and anyway I don't really need a new one so why to buy it if it is not needed?Sustainable development...;)
I have seen most of the London attractions on my previous visits into the city but thsi time I had a chance to go and experience the "flight" over London with London Eye.We got the tickets real cheap as it was included in our whole London trip price.( I was there with our school's international student's society again!)I paid £18 for a bus drives there and back, one day underground ticket and a ticket for London Eye.....pretty good as the London Eye is normally £25,tube tickets maybe £4 and the return ticket for the bus soemthing between £10-30!!
The only bad thing was that we needed to queue for the Eye for about 1 hour!!It took a big piece from our full time in london so at the end we only had a couple of hours left for looking around by our selves.I went to Oxford street to check out the shops but didn't buy anything...I was in quite tight mood...;)
OMG...that street was FULL of peole!Probably at least half of the London population was spending their money there!I have never been in such an over crowded place before...:O
The ride on the Eye was really cool!!It is 135m high so you are able to see the whole huge city from the top of the wheel. As I already mentioned we were really lucky with the weather too as if it was foggy and rainy we wouldn't have been able to see much!:O
I will go back there few more times surely before the summer.I want to shop properly and also visit some new attractions as the National Gallery for example.I am so happy the entrance is free for most of the museums and galleries here!
I just love London! My dream future would be to find a nice, interesting job from London after I have graduated. It is the most beautiful city of England I have seen so far and I just enjoy it's atmosphere.I like to feel the city around me,all the people, endless streets and rows of houses...to be able to stand out and be in a completely different place after a short drive on the tube.London also feels relaxed, more relaxed than Helsinki for example...people are more friendly and talkative here...:) I have been a fan of London for many many years already....:)
