Just arrived at Sydney Airport. I managed to sleep for half of the flight, but the other half was restless and uncomfortable. I am pleased however that I finally managed to finish my book 'Before I go to Sleep' which is a brilliant and clever thriller that I can highly recommend. I'm now starting 'The Passage'. Looking forward to having time to read! I also managed to watch Ted which I thought was hilarious!

Now on the free shuttle bus to my hostel which is the bargain price of £20 a night. Looking to do this whole trip as cheap as poss. Shared hostels will be a regular thing until we hit SE Asia where i'll be able to get a private en suite room for around £5 per night. By that time I'm sure ill be crying out for some personal space!

Start my travels up the East Coast to Cairns after spending a couple of days exploring Sydney, so today I'm going to catch up on some sleep and get a well needed shower (I'm pretty ripe after two days sans shower) and then hook up with people later to go and check out a fireworks display at Darling Harbour and the city at night. Here's hoping the bars aren't too extortionate! Who am I kidding?! This is flippin Sydney! Ill be bankrupt by dawn....
