Had a slightly later start this morning as we could barely drag ourselves out of bed. Once up though we had an active day. After a mile and a half walk we hire bikes and cycled around Central Park. It was a bit disappointing as you are only allowed to cycle in a big loop around the park and a couple of roads crossing it, also you have to cycle anti clockwise only. So there is no exploring the many little paths that meander through the park, unless you push the bike or lock it up and tKe a separate walk. Still it was a different way to see the park and we covered more ground. Then it was off to Macy,s, largest store in the world supposedly. Phoebe hadn't really been introduced to a big department store before and this one was huge. Well she LOVED it, especially the shoe floor where they were having a sale day. She came out with a cute pair of pink shoes. Dad can see the next few years are going to be expensive. Dinner was New York Strip steaks, followed by New York Cheese Cake, Dad had a Brooklyn brewed beer, in a restaurant in the ground floor of the a Empire State Building - all very NY! A final mile walk took us back to Times Square which was heaving with people, what a great atmosphere. Well we are finally back in our hotel room and it's almost midnight again, time just flies by here. Tomorrow we start making out way back home.
