We've done loads today, caught the hop on hop off bus to down town which has a guide giving info of main sights along the way. Once at Wall Street we took a walking tour of the more historical areas , financial areas and the 9/11 memorial. Had a late lunch at O'Hara"s, the Irish pub next to the fire House located close to the World Trade Centre site. The firefighters from there were basically first responders and a great many of their fire house personnel were lost. O"hara"s seems to have been their local . From there we walked down to Battery Park and took a ferry to go see the Statue of Liberty. The hop on Hop off bus took us back up towards Times Square so we had a good overview of Downtown today. On a rather spur of the moment thing we walked to the Gershwin Theatre where "Wicked" is running, it was sold out but as the.show was due to start soon we queued for any cancelled tickets and Yey! We got in. The show was fantastic, a true on Broadway show, as opposed to off Broadway, or off, off Broadway, ( yes, there is a distinction). Finally, as we had legged it to the show we hadn't eaten , so sat down to dinner at 10.30 pm like true New Yorkers.
