In new Zealand sitting in fan zone in Queens Wharf. The boat is moored at Queens Wharf so just walk out boat and there I am. Tomorrow up early for tour of Rangitoto, a volcano and nature trail on an island just off the coast near Auckland.

Was it worth the time getting here? Yeah, place is cool - literally. Boat is neat, must explore later re free ice-cream etc. For now some food & sleep even though it is morning here. Then welcome party this evening, maybe explore Auckland after dark and see fan zones. Off on a volcano tour tomorrow.

Flight seems a distant memory now, lots of friendly people to chat to. Spoke to couple at Haka show, he is Kiwi, wife is Aussie - should make for interesting semi for them on Sunday.
