Blog part two.... Once writing the first part of our around the world adventures, I believe I went in to to much detail, maybe not for some of you but definitely for myself to keep the blog going. (we have now finished our two week tour, regarding the members of the tour, mainly old but every person was absolutely amazing, we have bonded with will and Justine so well it's crazy spent all day and all night laughing and taking the mickey out of each other) Ok to finish off from where we started, the over night train took over 9 hours and was late by three hours in to Chang mai station. Apparently the train goes at 10mph for certain sections of the journey, I'm sure I saw a granny over taking us on the street!!!! The train was amazing, consisted of two large seats opposite another two large seats, table in the middle, at night time a member of staff comes around, folds up the table, makes the seats a bed, drops down the top bunk makes both beds with fresh sheets, cover and a pillow.... We shared the bottom small double as there was loads of room. Ok I'm going in to too much detail again, we got to our hotel and went out to get some lunch, we meet up with rob bell by chance as he walked past our restaurant and spotted myself and Jo. Jo and rob had organised to meet in Chang mai late that evening so to bump in to rob semi randomly was amazing, we left Rob to go the the tiger kingdom, this place was the lions nuts!!!! You can choose to go in to different pens with different ages, we choose only to go in with the big boys!! They where hugeeee, apparently not drugged up, and definitely where not chained up. We had a chance to take photos with the tigers and also have a laugh with each other as we were looking Over our backs to ensure a guard with only a small stick, had not let a tiger sneak up to us thinking we where Sunday roast. Great photos to follow when we get a chance to up load them. that evening we went up to a wat (temple) with a amazing view of Chang mai. That evening we met up with rob who showed us an amazing time, he had only been in Chang mai for a week but knew so much, Rob took us to a few bars then to a reggae bar. Was a quality night, Johanna paid for it the next day on the bus, having to jump out and be sick infront of fourteen members of our tour, ahahha but everyone from then on always asked Jo every morning how you feeling today which was lovely. Ok going in to too much detial again, highlights from each area, chang mai, meeting and drinking with rob along with tiger kingdom. Slow boat for two days into Laos, went to a hill tribe and gave presents to the school for the kids, also played with the kids and beat two of them in a arm wrestle (beefffcakkkeee). Luang prabang was the amazing waterfall called kuang sii waterfall which had amazingly blue water pools due to the limestone we climbed right to the top and had most amazing view and long trek down also got to tyerope jump in and have a swim very cold but amazing also road on elephants which made Johanna very happy except when it farted and did poos the size of my head. Vang veing, the capital for backpackers partying due to certain "happy shakes and pancakes"readily available, I had the worst diarrea ever and closed the first evening there at a rubbish 10.30pm after only managing to finish half a bottle of beer. We made up for the 1st day and went famous tubbing, a made bar crawl with Loud music and as much free tiger whiskey as you can handle down a river but as we started drinking at 11.30am we only made it to around 11.30 at night(but we had a great time) got real spray paint stencilled on us, I blame the tiger whiskey!!!! .... Another hangover took us Too Laos capital Vientiane, where we went to a land mine centre and learnt a lot about the bombings that happened during the Vietnam war then went for dinner with the group and had a indian curry which we've been missing. A few of us after headed to a bar by the river, after noticing after 2 seconds it was full of men in short dresses haha quality all about guessing if who was a man or not group of he/shes at a table together were testing and feeling each others boobs to see who had beta ones lol. Tom couldn't identify half haha.
Flew in a brand new plane in to ha noi, vietnams capital, this place was crazy!!! Apparently 20% more mopeds then people. Was full of smog and crazy drivers, if you hesitate crossing the road I will crash in to you.... We went to see Ho chi Minh whos body is still preserved, went to the Hanoi Hilton (prison) which was rather one sided from the vietnamese but very informative. Rubbish water puppets show most of us falling asleep, then a lovely last dinneravert sad 2 say good bye.
1 hour flight later I'm writing this blog in the Bangkok airline transfer waiting area waiting to pick up our boarding passes to get on our next flight to Melbourne. To reflect on the last week, WOW. Jo and I are so so happy we decided to book the tour. We've learnt and seen so much it's mind boggling... Seen many wats (temples) spooned tigers, road onelephants and met monks. The group was full of fun loving people who hopefully we will stay in touch with forever. Our tour guide "fon" was amazing, she really looked after us and took all my normal holiday stresses away.... Perfect two weeks, and period i will remember for ever..... Off to oz for the 2nd chapter to begin.... Good night Barmy Asia!!!!
