Another lot of heavy rain overnight. We know its hot and sunny back in auld blighty (grrrr!). We have managed to make things waterproof enough though.

As the forecast was iffy and the legs were stiff, we had day off walking and drove the hour to Lucerne. Old town famous for its two covered bridges. Today's cover picture is the view while we had our picnic lunch. Walked through cobbled streets and gawping at the price of things in the fashionable shops.

Took the opportunity of going into 2 museums. One of Swiss history mixed with some cultural stuff (gave it 3*). Then to a gallery with a pile of Picasso's, Monet's and other famous painters. How do the Swiss get all their money? Didn't Picasso paint a lot. Why did he paint that like that? Where some of the high brow art questions I asked myself!!
