The night-kayaking was ace! There were some scary moments and I think I got stuck on every rock there was in the river - but it was great! I also won a pizza-eating competition before we set-off (15 slices!) but I don't think that was the best idea - I nearly sank! Here we are in Byron Bay then. We arrived late in the afternoon and checked into the Holiday Village Hostel. It has a pool and is over-run with Irish people celebrating St Pats Day by throwing themselves off the roof into the water and other bits of nonsense.
