Well last day in Bangkok, catch a night-train to Krabi in the South at 7:15pm for a fantastic 12 hours!!! Update from last postcard - not a religious day after all but actually the King's birthday. Ah, it all became clear. Got to Patpong that night to discover all the strip clubs were closed "in respect" for the King! After a hectic day sight seeing we had a bite to eat, drank wine from tea-cups (as alcohol was supposed to be banned that day) and had an early night. As we were checking out of Asia Bangkok hotel we met 2 english girls who were also heading for Khao San Road and the same guest house. A chilled afternoon was spent lazing by the rooftop pool and in one of the many bars checking out the "local sights". The mothership has landed - it's raining men....... Headed back to Patpong that night with Jenny and Gemma. After much giggling and gawping we found ourselves in one of the go-go bars. We all tried to stay cool but we looked a bit like perverted lesbianos! After one quick drink we made a hasty exit. It was worse out on the street, offers of ping-pong and live sex shows aplenty. And no we didn't take any of the touts up on the offers!!!!! Back to Khao San Road about 10pm for what was supposed to be a few drinks. However, having grabbed the attention of the gorgeous Santiago from Columbia we found ourselves still drinking at 8am the next morning. Santiago's hilarious friend Tom from Bristol joined us at some point and kept us amused the rest of the evening / morning. Needless to say yesterday was spent in bed! We finally surfaced at 6pm, had something to eat, checked our emails (which by the way were a bit light on the gound, hint hint), had something else to eat then headed back to bed around 10pm. We were up and checked out of the guest house at 12noon and have spent the majority of the day sitting in cafes / bars chilling and looking round the markets. We'll be leaving to catch our train in 2 hours time. Can't wait to hit the beaches and work on our tans. I'm sure there will be further antics in our next update. Until then check out the photos. xx
