Well it's finally happened, we have left Germany and arrived in RUSSIA! But first let me tell you about our last days in Germany! So the day arrived for Sally and I to attend the wedding of Tess and Christian, fresh from the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang castle, which was awesome. The morning provided beautiful blue skies as we strolled through the village to get some last minute supplies to take to Russia and for the train journey we face on Wednesday... Mainly nood...

Short one today as we are getting ready for tess and Christians wedding! We are now in lovely Wolfratshausen and we have had the best nights sleep! Had to buy a new shirt yesterday as my wedding shirt no longer fits due to all the muscles I have built up..... Sally still fits in her dress so all good!!! We arrive in St Petersburg tomorrow afternoon so it's a very exciting few days for us!

Well, as days go, this one is pretty cool! I am writing this from the picnic area in the grounds of Neuschwanstein castle having walked the scenic route to the top and admired the stunning views. Sally is like a 5 year old on Christmas morning she is so happy, having wanted to come here for 20 years! The countryside and mountains provide a pretty spectacular backdrop for the castle itself, built by a king who went mad and drowned himself... Probably becaus...

Short blog today but a great day had in Bruchsal with Ben and Silke. we arrived by train from Heidelberg and it was lovely to see out friends after so long. We had a massive ice cream, well I did.... Sally had pancakes! Then off to see the historic buildings, including one that has a religious painting on the ceiling, with a nun, god, and a dragon.... And also the organ that may or may not have been intended to have been on the titanic! Then off to the hill ove...

What a day!!! A few firsts on our final big day of cycling: 1. First rainfall in 14 days last night, and it rained HARD! 2. First thunder and lightening last night too! Lit up the bedroom a few times in the night! 3. First time we tried to take a short cut and not follow cycle routes. 4. First time we hit a path up a BIG hill!
