8am We woke up early after a really good nights sleep and after breakfast we taken by our guide to meet our driver on the outskirts of the city, as he couldn't drive in as they restrict cars depending on number plates from entering the city on certain days! We are in mongolia in a skanky hostel which is very cheap and we had our best nights sleep so far once the next door neighbours had finished screaming their house down til 1am in Mongolian!! Just a quick blog to confirm we arrived this morning into Irkutsk and had checked into our hotel by 8.30am! Showered and clothes washed and hanging out to dry, sleep was hard to come by last night so we are dozing for a bit before exploring the town and finding breakfast! Love dan and sally xx

We are now closer to Beijing than we are to Moscow! The views just keep getting better and as we head deeper into Siberia. We can see lots of two floor wooden houses which almost look like they are temporary, but have allotments out the back so we think they are summer houses where they grow their veg to sell at markets or just for survival food as they don't have Sainsburys or McDonald's out here!
