Run = Central Park.
Activity = Natural History Museum.
We headed there on the subway nice and early - a tad too early, so had a quick stroll in Central Park. The museum is excellent, but huge. Even I was flagging at the end, and the kids were just zombies towards the end. Yeah, wow ANOTHER dinosaur.... Highlight was visiting all the displays that formed part of 'A Night At The Museum'. While there was a lot of poetic license about how the museum hangs together and some of the displays, some of the favourites are there - Dum Dum, the EasterIsland (?) statue, and the cheeky monkey had queues for photo opportunities. Their diorama's (Like the one with the Indian and the explorers) are just like in the movie (Except she's not there) are quite stunning and quite realistic.
Once we were museumed out we hunted for food, found ourselves at the Dakota building (where John Lennon lived and ultimately passed away) and then into Strawberry Fields (A memorial for John) armed with Hot Dogs and our first Knish. Tasted good. We explored the park a bit then headed back to Times Square. We shopped, the Doyles retired, then we headed back home to do some washing. Found a laundromat 200m away, and mixed with the locals doing our laundry. The owners only spoke Chinese and Mexican - little english! Most of the customers were also speaking different languages, so it was a real melting pot. A couple of friendly locals had a good chat with us while we watched the dancing clothes.
For dinner we wandered 100m to a Pizza place for typical NY Pizza, which was awesome, then we Prees peeled away for another assult on the retailers in Times Square. You know youve done enough shopping when the store is empty and they're closing the tills......
Tomorrow - A busy day, I expect. Hopefully snow!

mum Can't match the venue,but I enjoyed my GF pizza on the beach at Coombana bay, and dad adored his sea food platter one. After all the heat it was cool and rain threatened! We saw New Year in by which time Shelley was going down with a chest infection and dad had a cold time we got home,still recovering. Our 57th anniversary tomorrow.
