THE MIGHTY PUSH
The wind couldn't stop him, the rain couldn't stop, the hills and the gravel couldn't, even the support crews incompetence couldn't stop him, the big man has done it. 250.96 miles and 11 days of hard graft done and dusted, finishing today after another 7 hours riding in fine style. Dave crossed the line in Middlemarch as the sun set and he cracked the first smile of the day with the pop of the champagnecork and the support crew welcoming him over the line and he pushed his last push (well for today anyway). The blog team are signing off for tonight and will update properly later - however wine, beer and food are calling.........
