Hello all, well, we've been here a month now and we're feeling more positive, the children have grown on us a little, ( though Maddy is completely insane ) and apart from giving us head lice and forcing us to play hopping games they are not all bad. We have been up to quite a lot since last writing, we have been to the mountains which was really good, it was quite cold, we even had to wear jumpers! WE went pedal boating on the lake (the place we stayed was called Kodaikanal) and went on a mountain walk to see the view wich was spectacular, though it was cloudy so we couldnt see all of it, we also visted a park which was pleasant. the best part was the food, we ate so much and it was all delightful, sarah enjoyed the chicken momo ( a tibetan dish) and i liked the naan and vegetable noodles. we also had our first english pot if tea- it was wonderful. WE painted a rather lovely flower murial on the wall, and have been getting in to the bible, its quite interesting but very twisted. At the weekend we are playing cricket, my tshirt says ' Shazza' as they have already got a charlotte and a brown, what are the chances. ooh we also got really cool henna patterns on our hands, and the children wrote our names in Tamil on our wrists, though they still dont know my name so they wrote sharlots. I have 23 mosquito bites on my left foot, a total of 38 on both feet, i am being eaten alive. the wardens here are trying their best to make us food we like, but when there's ants in the sugar, jam etc its difficult to be polite. but its okay because they just give us cornflakes and noodles now.
india still smells of s***. everytime i ask for a bin they laugh at me and throw my rubbish on the floor. miss you all, Charlotte Victoria Brown
