Well hello everyone!!! It's not been long since I last updated, however feel like i've done a fair amount, and this therefore deserves a blog update. So we took an overnight train to Hue, and arrived early in the morning - quickly dumped our stuff and took a walk to the imperial palace, which is very similar to the one in Beijing, just not on such a grand scale. So Mez and I eventually made it to Vietnam with delayed flights after delayed flights. We were slightly concerned when arriving at the airport when over 40 mins later our bags had still not been sited on the baggage converbelt, however alas they arrived just as we were giving up hope. then another worry, no one to pick us up, even though I had emailed them twice about the pickup. Luckily once again, we just had to be patient and eventually someone arrived holding...

Shanghai, Mez and me!!! very quick note, as i'm using free internet at a tourist information, but had a blast in shanghai. Met up with Meredith obviously, and she is the same as she was, loud, rude and you gotta love her. Did all the normal tourist things here, Shanghai musuem on the first day and then celebrated Chinese New Year at our hostel and met lots of nice people, two of which were in Xi'an with me and on the same terracotta warriors tours which was odd...

so after arriving early we eventually made it to Xi'an and haggling over a 50yuan taxi we decided to walk to the hostel, only 5 mins, so glad we weren't ripped off. We opted for a quiet, easy day so drum and bell towers which were really close to our hostel and booked ourselves on the the terracotta warriors tour for the next day. PANDAS!!!!!!! Nothing much more to say about Chengdu lol, saw lots of pandas, they were adorable, some of them were only 4 months old, and we got to see them eating and sleeping. That is all they do though. We went to the biggest environmental area in China for them, and they have the largest amount of Giant Pandas, also got to see red pandas which were nice but not as cute.
